The police authorities in Owo, in particular, and Ondo State, in general, are reportedly on the lookout for an unidentified suspect, nicknamed Baddest, in connection with the gruesome murder of a boy identified as Ayomide.
The suspect, who is now on the run, reportedly came to the residence of Ayomide’s mother at about a few minutes past six on Thursday morning to recover an undisclosed amount owed to him by the mother.
The mother’s failure to produce the money subsequently led to a verbal altercation, which prompted the suspect to pick up an axe with him in which he struck the boy in the neck, killing him instantly.
While several details of the incident remain sketchy, individuals with useful information about the whereabouts of the suspect are advised to assist the police with information that may lead to his arrest.
